Sun Sang Chemicals Processing Co., Ltd. and Sun Sang Plastic Material Co. were established in 1980.  The president of the company, Mr. Ho Chan Hoi, initially started with recycling of polystyrene (PS), which was mainly for the usage of video cassette tape (VHS) housing.  However as the technology and living style changed from time to time, the demand of VHS began to decline, which made video compact disc (VCD) and digital video disc (DVD) eventually replaced VHS as a trend, bringing us into the new era of engineered plastics.

Our president, Mr. Ho Chan Hoi, was appointed as the president of the Hong Kong Plastics Recycling Association in 1997.  He began to assist in communicating and exchanging information with the government of Mainland China about the proper treatment and handling of useful post-industrial and post-consumer plastic scraps.  Over the past years, Mr. Ho Chan Hoi has become one of the essential mediators between plastic recyclers in Hong Kong and the government of Mainland China
