Transportation
The Hong Kong public transportation network is well established, modernized, fast and convenient. Main transport features including The Mass Transit Railway (MTR), The Kowloo-Canton Railway (KCR), The Light Rail (LR), buses, trams, ferries and taxis are summarized in the following tables for your easy reference.

There are 5 means of public transportation connecting the Chek Lap Kok International Airport with other parts of the Hong Kong territory. Their main features are summarized in the following tables for your easy reference. Go to the related links if more information is needed.

   
 
  (1) Airport Express Line (AEL)
Stations 4 stops: Airport, Tsing Yi, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Operation Hours: 5:50am-1:00am, trains depart at 10-minute intervals
Tickets: 100 per adult (one-way ticket from airport to Hong Kong Station); $90 to Kowloon Station; $60 to Tsing Yi Station; more economical round-trip tickets also available
Special Service: Passengers can take the Airport Express Hotel Shuttle Buses (AEHS) totaling 7 routes at AEL Hong Kong and Kowloon stations for 25 major hotels for FREE
Remarks:

(1) This modern hi-speed train is most efficient way to the city centre (23 mins to Hong Kong Station in Central, 20 mins to Kowloon, 12 mins to Tsing Yi)
(2) Free in-town check-in services at AEL Hong Kong and Kowloon Stations
(3) Interchangeable to the MTR network
(4) Avoid confusion with the Tung Chung Line which is a domestic service primarily for local residents

(2) Airbuses
Operators: Citybus Ltd., KMB Long Win Bus Co Ltd.
Routes:

These routes are specially for departing and arriving passengers with a few stops at all major hotels: A11, A12, A21, A 22, A31, A35, A41, A43

Operating Hours

(1) Buses run from 5:30am—12:00 mid-night at 10 - 20   mins intervals depend on different routes
(2) Night-time buses available for selected routes

Tickets:

(1) Purchased at the Customer Service Counter in the Airport Arrival Hall; or drop exact change into the fare box on board
(2) Fares range from HK$20-$45 depend on different routes

Remarks:

(1) Air-conditioned with luggage space
(2) Avoid confusion with buses of conventional lines which are primarily for local residents

(3) Hotel Limousine Pick-Up Service
Operators: Provided by major hotels at a private or shared basis for set fees
Booking: Ask at times of hotel reservation if this airport transfer service is included
Remarks: (1) Identify yourself the Hong Kong Hotels Association or Hotel Reservation Centre both in the buffer hall for direction to transportation.
(2) If you have not booked the service, you may just go to the above two places for an immediate booking.

(4) Taxi
Taxi Station The taxi pick-up area is easily accessible, just outside the Airport Passenger Terminal.
Fares Pay fares as the metre shows, but surcharge will be added for tunnel/bridge toll, large-size luggage & pets, etc. Price list on these charges is displayed inside the taxi.
Remarks:

(1) All taxis in Hong Kong are licensed and air-conditioned. Accommodate 4-5 passengers depended on vehicle models.
(2) Taxis of different colours serve different areas: Red-Hong Kong Island & Kowloon; Green-New Territories; Blue-Lantau Island

Routes: Chek Lap Kok Ferry Pier and Tuen Mun (in New Territories) Chek Lap Kok Ferry Pier and Discovery Bay (in Lantau Island)

Operating Hours: 6am - 11pm daily 5:50am - 8:40pm daily
