The
Hong Kong public transportation network is well established,
modernized, fast and convenient. Main transport features including
The Mass Transit Railway (MTR), The Kowloo-Canton Railway (KCR),
The Light Rail (LR), buses, trams, ferries and taxis are summarized
in the following tables for your easy reference.
The Kowloon-Canton
Railway (KCR) Opened for service in 1910, the
KCR ran from a single track with steam hauled to a double-tracked
modern electrified system in the 1980s. What was unchanged
is that it remains the main transport feature between
urban Kowloon and the northeast New Territories. Most
trains terminate at Lo Wu except special express trains
