The Hong Kong public transportation network is well established, modernized, fast and convenient. The Peak Tramway
Operating since 1888, the Peak Tram climbs a fascinating 373-metre gradient to the Victoria Peak, providing a panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour.
   
No. of Stations: From Garden Road Terminal in Central to the Peak Terminus, 3 stations en route serving local residents
Operation Hours: 7am-12 midnight
Duration: 8 mins, tram runs at 10-15 mins intervals
Fares: Adult: HK$20 (HK$30 return); Child: HK$6 (HK$9 return)
Remarks: (1)   There is a free shuttle-bus service from Star Ferry Concourse (Central) to the Garden Road terminal.
(2)  Mon-Sat: 9am-7pm at every 20 mins
(3)  Sun & public holidays: 9am-8pm at every 10-15 mins

  HK Tramways
Established in 1904, the Hong Kong Tramways is a 13-kilometre rail system running together with other vehicles on the street. The upper deck of its double-decked coach gives good views of the town as the tram rattles slowly.
 
     
 
Service Area: Hong Kong Island's northern coast
Routes: From Kennedy Town to Shau Kei Wan on the Hong Kong Island, with a side loop around Happy Valley Racecourse; the Island's main districts like Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, etc. are all en route.
Operation Hours: 6am-1am
Fares: Adult HK$2; child & senior HK$1;
fix fares no matter how many stations are taken
Remarks: (1) Fares are paid into driver's coin box upon alighting
